“Flamborough Seniors” is a new and exciting adventure for older adults living in Flamborough.

Currently, there are several senior’s clubs and groups who meet to participate in various different activities (euchre, sewing and knitting, darts, social and others).  A committee of interested seniors called the “Seniors Go Getters” has been working to develop a new umbrella of activities for everyone in Flamborough.  Flamborough Information and Community Services has received two grants to support the planning and create more social and recreational activities for seniors in Flamborough.  (New Horizons and United Way). The money from the grant has enabled a program director to be hired to plan many different outings and social events.

As you know, Flamborough currently doesn’t have a senior’s centre.   This is the vision of the “ Go Getters Group”.  We need to develop a well established senior’s club that will include adults 55 years and up from all areas of our community and provide a variety of activities and social events.
